Cindy Haller, lettering artist, bookbinder, designer has been active in the calligraphy and book arts fields since the mid-1970s. Her commercial art ranges from custom lettering to bookbinding commissions. Based in Houston, Texas, she has taught locally and throughout the state, as well as in New Mexico, Oklahoma and Singapore. Cindy helped establish Escribiente, the NM Calligraphy Society, is the original charter member of the Houston Calligraphy Guild, and is the current Scholarship Chair for IAMPETH. She has been active in the Guild of Book Workers and at regional levels of the organization. Continuing her art education is important not only to enhance her commercial work, but for her personal artistic spirit.
