Anne Elser

After earning a BFA in painting from the Cleveland Institute of Art and graduate studies in Graphic Design at The Portfolio Center, Anne Elser began her artistic career as a painter, bookbinder, designer, and calligrapher. Anne has over 20 years teaching experience on the graduate level and continuing education. She currently teaches private calligraphy and bookbinding lessons from her home studio in Decatur, Georgia, workshops at Binders Art Supply in Buckhead, as well as classes and workshops in her home studio in Decatur and online. Anne also travels in the states and internationally, conducting workshops, and is an IAMPETH instructor. Anne believes making art creates a channel for truth and is a soulful reflection of the connections shared by all. Her work has been featured in books and magazines across the country, and for both private and corporate clients such as Tiffany & Co, MontBlanc, Louis Vuitton, Paces Papers, Landor, Martha Stewart Weddings, Belk, Saks Fifth Avenue, Bloomingdales, Clicquot Veauvé, World50, Ogilvy, Salvatore Ferragamo, and more.

Meet Maureen Vickery

Maureen Vickery

Maureen Vickery, the publisher and editor of Calligraphy Crush, is a professional wedding calligrapher with PenDance Studio. She specializes in pointed pen styles, and teaches pointed pen, brush lettering, and handwriting workshops. Maureen has studied with almost all the IAMPETH Master Penmen, the incomparable Sheila Waters, and numerous crazy-talented instructors at international conferences and local workshops. The life-long friendships she has formed with teachers and fellow students have been a huge blessing both personally and professionally, and many have generously contributed their insight and expertise to Calligraphy Crush readers.
