Rainer Wiebe was born in 1967 in Nuremberg, Germany. After high school and carpentry apprenticeship in Regensburg he moved to Saarbrücken. Here he fulfilled his childhood dream of becoming an artist and calligrapher. In 2003, together with his wife Maria Jantzen, he founded the Kalligrafieschule Saarbrücken (www.kalligrafie-wiebe.de). In addition to courses at his own school, Rainer Wiebe also teaches at other schools and educational institutions. His teaching concept is to convey the basics of calligraphy in intensive courses. Through playfully simple exercises he inspires children and adults in the art of calligraphy. Occasionally, Rainer also appears as a bar pianist.
