Tamara Stoneburner is a professional calligrapher and the owner of Gracestone Calligraphics, an independent studio started in 1997 and located in Northern Virginia. She specializes in fine art commissions ranging from weddings and anniversaries to awards and certificates to complex family tree charts to resolutions and retirements, as well as other hand-rendered personal calligraphy art pieces. Currently, she is the president of the Washington Calligraphers Guild and has been directly mentored for the past 15 years by Sheila Waters, its founder. She also garners great satisfaction as an instructor of calligraphy and graphic design for various groups including IAMPETH (International Association of Master Penmen, Engrossers, and Teachers of Handwriting) and the annual DC Super Fountain Pen Show.
